Seeker quick reference

First 10 Minutes in TraceScout

Ten truthful first steps. For complete explanations, use the Guide or Training Centre.

What this reference does

Connects the seeker journey to the current page and the next real action.

First action

Attest a source resume you can stand behind, then browse or evaluate roles.

What good looks like

You understand why a role aligns, what evidence supports it, what is missing, and what you will do next.

Source-of-truth rule

Your candidate-attested source resume grounds matching and tailoring. Unsupported claims are not added.

  1. 1. Set your search focus

    Preferences

Choose your country, precise target roles, seniority and remote/location preferences.

  2. 2. Upload your source resume

    Resume

Upload a supported file and wait until TraceScout finishes reading it.

  3. 3. Review every line

    Resume → Review

Correct reading errors. Do not attest information you cannot stand behind.

  4. 4. Attest the version

    Resume → Attest

Confirm that the reviewed content is accurate and yours. This unlocks matching.

  5. 5. Open Matches

    Matches

Read the score, rationale, strengths and gaps as decision support—not verification or an outcome promise.

  6. 6. Look wider

    Browse

Search the active posting pool and open the employer's original posting.

  7. 7. Prepare truthfully

    A current match

Follow the eligibility shown for that role. Tailored content must stay traceable to your attested source.

  8. 8. Record what you applied to

    Applications

Apply externally, then keep your stage and private notes current in TraceScout.

  9. 9. Use Home for the next move

    Home

Review current opportunities, recorded changes, pipeline and search context without treating them as predictions.

  10. 10. Know where to get help

    Seeker Help Centre

Search current articles, use the detailed Guide, or learn through the Training Centre.

Keep these boundaries clear

  • Resume claims are candidate-attested, not independently verified.
  • A score compares one attested resume with one posting; it does not guarantee an interview or job.
  • A verified resume was checked against the relevant attested source version.
  • Apply on the employer's own site. Keep your TraceScout application stage current yourself.
