Until it is recorded, the written steps below are complete on their own.

Steps

  1. Open Matches and pick a role.
  2. Read the score shown on the match. It compares your attested resume against that posting.
  3. Read the strengths. These are the parts of the posting your attested resume already answers.
  4. Read the gaps. These are the parts of the posting your attested resume does not currently evidence.
  5. Use the gaps to decide whether to apply, and what to draw out if you do.

Worth knowing

  • The score is decision support. It is not a decision, a ranking of you as a candidate, or a promise about the outcome of an application.
  • Gaps are useful information, not a rejection. A role with real gaps can still be worth applying for.
  • A gap can only be closed by real experience you can attest to. Nothing may be added to your resume that you did not provide.
  • For any gap you can choose Add evidence to write a separate clarification in your own words, review it, and attest that it is true. It is stored apart from your resume and does not change your locked resume. It is attested by you, not independently verified.
  • Reassessing a match using a clarification is not available yet, so the current score stays as it is. You can also mark a gap Not applicable or I don't have this experience, and undo either later.
