Until it is recorded, the written steps below are complete on their own.
Steps
- Open Preferences from the account menu, or go to the Preferences page directly.
- Choose your country of search. This decides which market of real postings TraceScout reads for you.
- Enter the roles you are targeting, in the words a posting would use.
- Set your seniority so that scoring compares you against roles at a sensible level.
- Set your location preference if you want remote roles treated differently.
- Save. Your next round of matches uses the saved preferences.
Worth knowing
- Preferences can be changed at any time. Changing them does not delete any resume version, match or application.
- A very narrow set of target roles produces fewer matches. If Matches feels thin, widen the role wording before changing anything else.
